Kat hails from a background in writing and still photography, two things which greatly influence her directorial work. Currently she is working on short documentary about the art and philosophy of wooden boat carpentry which will be coming out in April of 2013, as well as a short film and two music videos which are set to come out in the fall of 2013. Her most recent music video for Sacramento based Sea of Bees premiered on Vice. She now writes a column for them as well as previously writing for Tiny Mix Tapes, Willamette Week. She is also knee deep in the construction of a novel and has self published a book of short short fiction. She lives at home with a loving husband and a cat named Yoko.
